Sergius and Bacchus

Much venerated by the early church, these 3rd-century martyrs became boundary-breaking saints. Christians, they were also revered by Muslims. Warriors, they were also renowned for healing miracles. Committed to one another in life and in death, they have been patrons of same-sex unions for more than a thousand years.
