In January 2025 I was honored to be a Guest Artist at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in connection with their blockbuster exhibit, “Siena: The Rise of Painting 1300–1350.” At three separate events, I demonstrated and discussed the techniques used by the Sienese artists—the very same ones I use in my iconography. At The Met Fifth Avenue, I was the featured artist at an Open Studio event. At The Met Cloisters, I led a similar event for their “How Did They Do That?” series, and also gave a Met Expert talk on early Renaissance panel painting from a practicing artist’s perspective.
